Tadpoles (watercolor) walkthrough by SonPan Tadpoles (watercolor) walkthrough by SonPan
Sooo, here's the step-by-step walkthrough I promised! I really hope it's useful for one person or another. :)
I know I would have appreciated a tutorial for painting that water. :XD:

And sorry that the images are actually rather small... is it alright though? If it's not I could make a bigger version, I guess.

Anyway, hope you like it!

Amazing work! I really like the reflections on the water, and that grass is seriously impressive :D

So cool to see the process you went through. What an amazing piece, and only 12 hours!

Thanks! :) Well, the 12 hours of course don't include little breaks or the time I get distracted by the internet...
I have a little program to track my working time (TimeEdition - it's really useful, actually) and I've found out I work... much less than I thought I did. :XD: So sometimes we believe something takes forever, but when you take away all the breaks and distractions and track the time you're ACTUALLY working, it turns out not to be quite so much. ;)

Your process is so amazing... and kinda beautiful, actually, the way everything slowly paints itself in. :D Great job, and thanks, this will be really useful and inspirational!
